Walmart Connect helps businesses reach Walmart customers across their shopping journey through advertising solutions powered by Walmart’s omnichannel scale and first party data. 

Within Walmart Connect, the Platform & Infrastructure Enablement (PIE) team helps Analytics teams make effective use of platforms and infrastructure, optimize technical workflows, automate recurring technical work, and build reusable platforms where common needs can scale across teams. 

Our goal is to help Analytics teams operate and scale efficiently through reliable, scalable and cost-efficient platforms, infrastructure and technical workflows. 

About the Role 

This role offers the opportunity to own and advance platform initiatives used across WMC Analytics. 

You will work directly with Analytics teams to understand recurring technical needs, evaluate when existing enterprise platforms can address them, and determine when a reusable platform approach is warranted. You will independently drive initiatives from definition through delivery, onboarding, adoption and ongoing improvement. 

The role requires strong technical fluency and the ability to engage hands on when needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between customer conversations, technical problem solving and cross functional execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Own platform initiatives end to end, translating recurring user needs into requirements and priorities and driving execution through delivery, onboarding, adoption and ongoing improvement 

• Build and evolve reusable platforms for recurring technical needs across WMC Analytics, including areas such as data discovery, workflow creation and approval workflows 

• Integrate enterprise platforms such as BigQuery, Airflow, Dataproc and Element into Analytics workflows and support effective onboarding and adoption across teams 

• Apply technical judgment and hands on problem solving across SQL, Python, APIs, platform configuration, integrations and troubleshooting as needed 

• Partner across Analytics and platform teams to coordinate dependencies, resolve ambiguity and determine whether recurring needs are best addressed through existing enterprise platforms or a reusable platform approach 

Qualifications 

• Strong technical foundation across cloud and data platforms 

• Hands on SQL proficiency and working knowledge of Python or another programming/scripting language, with familiarity across data pipelines, APIs and integrations 

• Experience understanding customer workflows and translating recurring needs into clear requirements and scalable technical approaches 

• Demonstrated ability to independently own complex technical initiatives from definition through delivery and adoption across multiple stakeholders 

• Strong problem solving and judgment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make pragmatic technical and functional tradeoffs 

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to structure complex problems clearly, explain technical concepts and tradeoffs, and drive alignment across technical and nontechnical stakeholders 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience building, enabling or driving adoption of internal data, analytics, self-service or enterprise platforms 

• Experience integrating and scaling enterprise platforms across multiple teams or user groups 

• Experience with GCP and data platforms such as BigQuery, Airflow, Dataproc and other relevant technologies 

• Experience working in large cross functional organizations with multiple technology and business partners 

What Success Looks Like 

Success means establishing independent ownership of the Platforms area, taking platform initiatives from definition through production adoption, building trusted relationships with Analytics users and partner platform teams, and demonstrating measurable value from platforms built or enabled by the team. 

Over time, you will help expand the platform portfolio as additional recurring technical needs emerge across WMC Analytics.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
