Job Description:
Reporting to the Manex Manager, the Digital & Automation Specialist will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Lead site digital transformation efforts including 4IR technology implementation, and creation of digital data dashboards.
Ensure site compliance with industry standards and corporate-mandated cyber security initiatives.
Act as a site liaison to corporate and global IT and Digital Factory teams
Lead site IT initiatives, including (but not limited to) key hardware and software upgrades, digital device management, server management, and network management/improvement.
Develop and implement projects to advance Digital Factory initiatives, including (but not limited to) integration of factory tags into corporate data lake, develop productivity improvement applications for loss mitigation, and training factory operations teams (including blue collar) to utilize digital tools in daily operations. These initiatives will be in direct collaboration with site Manex team.
Identify and develop software applications to automate manual processes to reduce Non-Value Added Activities
Support client Manufacturing System (UMS) pillars through automation of productivity, waste, and production cost loss reporting
Ensure proper training and handoff protocols are followed to necessary personnel for all IT, cyber security, and digital factory projects.
Creation and optimization of Standard Operating Procedures for digital tools & applications.
Assist in day-to-day troubleshooting of network, server, and digital issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, or other related field OR 5+ years of experience in a controls and automation specialist role
Minimum of 3 years of related experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerApps, and Office is required
Experience with OSI PI, SQL, virtual machine environments, and server management is preferred.
Ability to understand end-to-end manufacturing process
Project Management skills to deliver cross-functional projects on-time in-full and within budget.
Required to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
