Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform bench-level testing and validation of Battery Management System (BMS) and Zonal ECUs for automotive electrical and electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ECU testing, diagnostics, validation, troubleshooting, and automotive lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bench-level testing of Battery Management System (BMS) and Zonal ECUs to validate functionality, quality, and system performance.
- Set up, configure, and maintain test benches, laboratory equipment, and validation environments.
- Execute functional testing and validation of ECU features and electrical systems.
- Develop, execute, and document test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and log analyzers.
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit documentation.
- Perform electrical measurements, signal analysis, and hardware diagnostics.
- Support ECU flashing, configuration, calibration, and integration activities.
- Assist with root cause analysis, issue investigation, and corrective action implementation.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, validation, and QA teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, validation reports, and test logs while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support regression testing and validation activities for new software and hardware releases.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with automotive ECU bench testing.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic diagnostics.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with ECU flashing, configuration, and validation.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing.
- Familiarity with CANoe, CANalyzer, and CAPL scripting.
- Knowledge of PCBA, ECU hardware validation, and board-level debugging.
- Experience with automotive connectivity, infotainment, audio/video, or UI validation.
- Basic scripting or automation experience using Python or similar tools.
- Familiarity with automotive development processes, standards, and quality methodologies.
