Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experiencedSenior Test Data Management Engineer / Test Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide test data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database technologies, test data provisioning, data masking, automation, and Test Data Management (TDM) tools.
This role requires collaboration with QA, development, DevOps, data engineering, and business teams to ensure secure, accurate, and reliable test data availability across multiple testing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end Test Data Management (TDM) strategy for QA, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and performance testing.
- Design, create, provision, refresh, mask, and maintain test data across multiple environments.
- Work with enterprise databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, and other relational database technologies.
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts and automation solutions for test data creation, provisioning, and validation.
- Implement data masking, anonymization, and synthetic test data generation solutions to protect sensitive information.
- Manage test data requests, dependencies, refresh schedules, and environment synchronization.
- Integrate TDM processes with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows to support automated testing.
- Collaborate with QA, development, DevOps, data engineering, and business teams to define and deliver test data requirements.
- Establish test data governance standards, audit controls, and reusable processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Troubleshoot data-related defects, investigate data inconsistencies, and perform root cause analysis.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior TDM and QA engineers.
Database & SQL
- Strong SQL programming and enterprise database management skills.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, or similar databases.
- Expertise in test data creation, extraction, validation, and refresh processes.
- Experience with TDM tools such as Delphix, Informatica Test Data Management, IBM InfoSphere Optim, or equivalent solutions.
- Knowledge of test data provisioning, data masking, anonymization, and synthetic data generation.
- Experience with ETL and data integration concepts.
- Knowledge of API testing and test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Scripting experience using Python, Java, or Shell.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership.
