Role: EMC Compliance Engineer
Work Location: Irvine, CA


Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and execute RTCA DO-160G compliance testing for avionics products.
  • Perform and support EMI/EMC, Environmental, and Safety Compliance testing.
  • Analyze test failures, perform root cause investigations, and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and support product qualification and certification activities.
  • Prepare test documentation, compliance reports, and certification packages.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Support submissions and interactions with regulatory and certification bodies, including the FCC and other relevant agencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in EMC/EMI and Environmental Compliance testing.
  • Avionics industry experience is required.
  • Strong experience with RTCA DO-160G EMI/EMC and Environmental testing.
  • Experience performing compliance testing, troubleshooting, and qualification activities.
  • Experience with Safety Compliance testing.
  • Understanding of certification and regulatory submission processes, including FCC and other compliance bodies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with wireless product compliance testing, including Wi-Fi, Cellular, or NFC technologies.
  • Experience with international compliance standards such as LVD, RED, and EMCD.
  • Experience supporting multiple product certifications and regulatory approvals.
