Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with strong hands-on Android application development experience and expert-level proficiency in Kotlin. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Java, modern Android architecture patterns, application security, API integration, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin.
- Strong knowledge of Java.
- Hands-on experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or MVI patterns.
- Experience implementing mobile application security, including:
- Biometric authentication
- Encryption
- Certificate pinning
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect
- Strong proficiency with testing frameworks, including:
- JUnit
- Espresso
- Mockito
- Robolectric
- Experience setting up automated CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
- Strong experience integrating:
- REST APIs
- GraphQL
- WebSockets and other real-time data solutions
- Experience with Google Play Console, including:
- App signing
- Staged rollouts
- Release management
- Strong proficiency with Git and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Java programming.
- Prior experience building mobile applications within the financial services, wealth management, or brokerage industry.
- Familiarity with financial data standards, including FIX protocol and market data feeds.
- Experience with cross-platform parity projects, such as replicating iOS applications on Android or vice versa.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for financial mobile applications, including SOC 2 and data privacy regulations.
- Experience with analytics and crash-reporting tools such as:
- Firebase Analytics
- Crashlytics
- Datadog
- Familiarity with design systems and maintaining consistency across mobile platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools, standards, and best practices.
