Role Summary
The successful candidate will lead enterprise Data Governance and Metadata Management initiatives leveraging platforms such as:
- Microsoft Purview
- Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC)
- Solidatus
- Collibra
- Alation
- Ataccama
The role will focus on designing, implementing, and operationalizing governance capabilities across a complex ecosystem of cloud, analytical, and operational platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Amazon S3, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and enterprise applications.
The individual will act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders while driving end-to-end governance transformation initiatives covering:
- Enterprise Metadata Management
- Data Catalog and Data Discovery
- Business Glossary Management
- Data Lineage and Impact Analysis
- Data Quality Governance
- Data Privacy and Regulatory Compliance
- Data Security and Access Governance
- Data Classification and Sensitive Data Protection

- Governance Automation and API-Based Integrations
Data Governance Leadership
- Lead enterprise-wide Data Governance transformation programs.
- Define governance frameworks, operating models, standards, policies, and controls.
- Establish strategic roadmaps for governance adoption and maturity.
- Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams to drive governance objectives.
- Support enterprise governance councils, stewardship programs, and governance operating models.
- Design, build, and demonstrate Data Governance Proofs of Concept (POCs).
- Conduct client workshops, technical demonstrations, and solution showcases.
- Configure and implement Microsoft Purview, Informatica CDGC, and related governance platforms.
- Develop governance integrations and automation capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership throughout implementation and deployment.
- Actively contribute to architecture development, solution design, configuration, and technical delivery.
- Implement enterprise metadata management capabilities.
- Define and manage business glossaries, data dictionaries, governance taxonomies, and metadata standards.
- Enable business and technical metadata harvesting, enrichment, classification, and stewardship.
- Establish metadata governance standards, policies, and controls.
- Improve enterprise data discovery and data asset transparency.
- Design and implement end-to-end data lineage capabilities using Solidatus, Microsoft Purview, and related technologies.
- Deliver business and technical lineage across data domains and technology platforms.
- Enable impact analysis across systems and data assets.
- Support regulatory reporting, compliance, risk management, and audit requirements.
Design and implement integrations between governance platforms and enterprise technologies, including:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure Data Services
- SQL Server
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- Amazon S3
- Data Warehouses and Analytics Platforms
- REST APIs
- Enterprise Applications
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate governance councils, steering committees, workshops, and architecture review sessions.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable Data Governance solutions.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across Business, Operations, Data, Risk, Compliance, and Technology functions.
- Present governance strategies, roadmaps, solutions, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Architecture, Metadata Management, or Data Strategy.
- Proven experience leading enterprise Data Governance programs and transformation initiatives.
- Strong consulting experience working directly with clients and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives while remaining hands-on with technical delivery.
- Experience developing prototypes, accelerators, POCs, demonstrations, and implementation solutions.
- Strong experience designing and operationalizing enterprise governance frameworks.
Candidates must have strong experience within one or more of the following:
