Shape the future
You will be part of the ADAS Data Platform, operating and continuously improving the data foundation for ADAS and automated driving. Based in Japan, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across regions to ensure that the ADAS Data Platform delivers reliable, scalable, and efficient data services that enable the successful execution of customer projects worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Own platform operations
- You will take operational ownership of cloud-based data ingestion, recording data management, metadata management, data quality validation, preprocessing, harmonization, dataset production, labeling workflows, and ML/recompute workflows across the data lifecycle. Your focus is on operational excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement through automation, tooling, and process optimization. You will help ensure that datasets, metadata, and data pipelines remain traceable, recoverable, and operationally reliable.
- Deliver reliable data
- You will monitor and improve the health of data pipelines and platform services on the ADAS Data Platform. You will ensure data freshness, completeness, correctness, and processing performance. You will identify issues early, coordinate incident response, perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to ensure engineering teams can rely on high-quality data for development, validation, and machine learning workflows.
- Drive operational excellence
- You will build and maintain dashboards, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, operational documentation, and escalation paths that support reliable platform operations. You will automate repetitive tasks, improve observability, strengthen recovery and reprocessing capabilities, and continuously enhance platform efficiency and maintainability.
Challenging tasks
You will work with large-scale vehicle sensor data, cloud storage platforms, recording data management solutions, data lifecycle management, data quality processes, labeling pipelines, ML dataset production, and operational support for data-driven development on the ADAS Data Platform. Your work directly contributes to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our ADAS product development worldwide.

Required Qualifications
Business-level English communication skills.
Experience operating data platforms, data pipelines, cloud platforms, or distributed systems in production.
Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and operational documentation.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or a comparable cloud platform.
Understanding of data ingestion, data processing, ETL/ELT concepts, data quality validation, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
Working knowledge of SQL for data investigation, validation, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
Familiarity with Linux, Git, and DevOps/DataOps ways of working.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across regions.
Preferred Qualifications
Business-level Japanese communication skills.
Experience with Azure services such as Azure Storage, Databricks, Azure Monitor, or related cloud-native data platform technologies.
Experience in ADAS, automated driving, vehicle measurement systems, sensor data, or automotive data platforms.
Experience with Spark, Databricks, Argo Workflows, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bicep, or GitHub.
Experience supporting machine learning workflows, dataset production, labeling workflows, model training, recompute, or validation workflows.
