Executive Director, University Compliance and Graduate School Conduct

Anderson University’s Office of Student Development invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Executive Director of University Compliance and Graduate School Conduct. The Executive Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the University’s non-Title IX compliance framework, supporting a safe, respectful, legally compliant, and Christ-centered campus environment. This position oversees policies and processes related to general discrimination and harassment, graduate student conduct, hazing prevention, and alcohol and drug education while serving as a primary resource for students, faculty, and staff. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with University Counsel, the Title IX Coordinator, Student Development, Athletics, and other university partners to ensure consistent and effective compliance practices. Responsibilities include receiving and assessing reports, conducting or coordinating investigations and grievance processes, overseeing graduate student conduct and hazing prevention efforts, maintaining university student handbooks and compliance records, coordinating EDGAR Part 86 requirements, and developing training and educational programs for students, faculty, staff, coaches, and university personnel. Additionally, The Executive Director should be approachable and supportive while maintaining neutrality, procedural fairness, confidentiality, and institutional standards when managing formal processes, approaching sensitive matters withcare and accountability, accessibility and impartiality, and prevention and response, fostering a culture of trust, responsibility, and student support.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a master’s degree in student affairs, legal studies, human resources, or related field and 3–5 years of progressive experience in higher education compliance or related field required. Strong organizational, communication, relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to work professionally and confidentially with students, families, faculty, and staff.
