We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a UNIVERSAL BANKER/TELLER opportunity with a bank founded by experienced banking and business professionals, the organization takes an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused approach to helping businesses, professionals, and real estate investors achieve their financial goals. Serves businesses and clients primarily throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. Its philosophy centers on understanding each client's unique needs and delivering personalized financial solutions.

The UNIVERSAL BANKER/TELLER is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:
  • Maintains teller drawers and conducts client transactions as needed.
  • Opens new accounts for businesses and consumers by ensuring proper documentation and identification; maintains existing accounts of all types and closes accounts as needed.
  • Provides excellent client service, including answering inquiries and recommending solutions to resolve client issues.
  • Maintains client files by scanning supporting documents into the core system.
  • Maintains strong client relationships through regular contact, including proactive outreach and timely follow-up.
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with all departments to ensure appropriate client solutions in accordance with the bank's policies and procedural guidelines.
  • Assists with other operational tasks as assigned.
  • Identifies opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services and generate internal referrals.
  • Reviews and verifies assigned daily reports.
Required qualifications for the position include:
  • High School diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent banking experience with an emphasis on retail and/of business banking.
  • 1–2 years of general banking experience, with an emphasis on branch sales and operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of branch banking activities, products, and services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general banking compliance regulations and laws.
  • Knowledge of bank-specific internal controls required under the FDIC Improvement Act (FDICIA) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Ability to routinely participate in bank-required training (hosted or self-directed) and pass associated tests or assessments with satisfactory scores.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Client, Integrated Teller, and BPM software.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay Rate Range : $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
