 Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-haveinsights, marketpredictions and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Director, Analyst serves as a leader within Gartner’sBusiness and Technology Insights (BTI) group,establishing oneself as a credible voice within their designated market at local,regional and global levels. Utilizing exceptional research and analytical skills, aDirector plays a significant role in producing pragmatic and provocativeinsights which Gartner clients consume and apply to propel their business toward keyobjectives. They are a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner’s value every day by engaging them via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, sales supportvisits and Gartner conferences to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations.    Â

What you will do:Â Â
Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged “must-haveinsights” contentÂ
Develop newinsights and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client's needs and requests that accelerate the client's ability to actÂ
Develop in-depth analysis toidentify the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward Â
Demonstrate thought leadership inestablishingInsights positions across a team of analystsÂ
Bring provocative, independent insightsto Gartner leaders that can evolve the course of a research agendaÂ
Research, analyze and predict market trends and shifts to provide clients and vendors with actionable insights Â
Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice aligned to their designated content area via virtual or face-to-face interactions Â
Create and deliver high value presentation materials on and off stage for Gartner events, industry and professional association conferences, and client briefings Â
SupportBTI and Sales: Provide sales support serving as voice of the market to helpInsights teams create content and to drive engagement with clients to make progress against their critical priorities to grow their businessÂ
Provide high quality andtimely content peer reviewÂ
Build credibility as an industry expert torepresent Gartnerinsights,methodology and strategy Â
Activelyparticipate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions and collaborate effectively with peers in theInsights communityÂ
Identify research process improvements or develop new processes that help the team andBTI provide excellent service deliveryÂ
Be a mentor and a coach by supporting more junior team membersÂ

What you will need:Â Â
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferredÂ
10+ years of relevant field or industry experienceÂ
Hands on experience securing AI-driven development of applications including agentic coding and AI generated code, and AI-driven vulnerability discovery,prioritization and remediation.Â
Able todefine and articulateemerging best practices for securing AI-enabled applications, specifically managing the risks of AI agents, MCPs, and APIs.Â
Forward-looking understanding of threat modeling, penetrationtesting and vulnerability management, specifically how these functions are changing with the introduction of AI.Â
Demonstrate executive presence; canimmediatelyestablish credibility with executives andadditional stakeholdersÂ
Deepexpertisewith the technologies, methodologies, and tools involved in application security including SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA with knowledge and experience with vendors like Checkmarx, Snyk, GitLab, GithubÂ
Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and producehigh quality deliverablesÂ
Demonstrate excellence in research and writing abilityÂ
Strong written and verbalproficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions Â
Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challengesÂ
Strong communication skills - able to explain complex concepts concisely and simply Â
Subject matterexpertise; comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements Â
Strong business and financial acumen Â
Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within subject area as well as the interplay in that marketÂ
Ability to work independently, while also being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflow of others, in a multicultural global teamÂ
Learning agile and adept with navigating highly matrixed environmentsÂ
