At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Blue Origin is seeking a highly organized and adaptable Executive Assistant to support senior leaders on the HR Leadership Team (HRLT). This role acts as a trusted partner to HR leaders — driving the rhythm of the business, anticipating needs, and enabling leaders to focus on the highest-impact work.

The ideal candidate operates with sound judgment, communicates with executive presence, and handles highly confidential HR information with discretion.

Special Mentions:

  • This position is based in Washington.
  • The role is fully onsite 5 days per week
  • 10% travel

What You'll Do:

  • Prioritize administrative functions in support of HR leaders and the broader HRLT with limited oversight, balancing tasks and projects while owning the successful execution of the tactical plan.

  • Balance multiple complex tasks, projects, and timelines end to end while maintaining executional and operational excellence within the division and across business groups.

  • Monitor and support department schedule and budget planning for HR leaders and their teams.

  • Support the communication of strategic initiatives and business unit-level best practices across the HRLT.

  • Read, interpret, and apply the intent of processes, procedures, work instructions, and policies with a consistent view that benefits the business — ensuring documentation is accurate, accessible, and well-maintained.

  • Develop tactical solutions to complex problems that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity, where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Own the operating rhythm for the HR leaders you support — business reviews, staff meetings, offsites, and leadership forums — from agenda design and pre-reads through follow-through on decisions and action items.

  • Plan and execute offsites, all-hands, leadership summits, and other high-visibility events with operational rigor.

  • Develop relationships within and outside the team, acting as prime contact to HR leaders on tasks and projects that require coordination between organizations.

  • Collaborate with key contacts outside your own area of expertise to develop solutions that are reviewed by senior program and technical leaders.

  • Steward confidential information and sensitive communications with discretion and sound judgment.

  • Manage complex calendars, travel, and expenses with precision and proactive ownership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience providing high-level administrative support in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consistent application of strong time management, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to balance multiple complex tasks and projects end to end while maintaining accuracy and operational excellence.

  • Ability to read and interpret the intent and application of processes, procedures, work instructions, and policies — with a consistent view that benefits the business.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop tactical solutions to complex problems using ingenuity and creativity, where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Track record of developing relationships within and outside the team and collaborating with key contacts outside your area of expertise.

  • Proven discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

  • Self-starter with a bias for action, high ownership, and comfort navigating ambiguity.

  • Strong interpersonal skills — able to earn trust quickly, build durable relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
