Senior Consultant - ABAP

Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise & Development

• Analyse complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Create detailed plans and accurate estimates for development, testing, and implementation.
• Perform performance tuning to optimize application efficiency across multiple functions.
• Act as a technical expert in identifying and resolving application issues promptly.

Project & Task Management

• Manage multiple deliverables and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and project goals.

Core SAP ABAP Development

• Strong knowledge ofABAP with real-time exposure toRIWCEF components andobject-oriented programming.
• Proficiency inABAP 7.5 programming syntax.
• Experience withenhancement techniques: BADI, User Exit, Customer Exit, Implicit and Explicit Enhancements.
• Expertise inoutput forms: Adobe Forms, Smart forms.
   

SAP HANA & Advanced ABAP

• ABAP on HANA: CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), ALV with IDA (Integrated Data Access).
• CDS Views with UI Annotations for buildingFiori apps usingFiori Elements.
• Experience withRAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

OData & Gateway Services

• Development experience withOData v2 andSAP Gateway.
• Familiarity withOData v4.

Integration & Interfaces

• Experience withIDOCs andProxies for system integration.
   

Optional/Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge ofOutput Management in S/4HANA.
• Familiarity withBRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus).
• Nice to have knowledge inSAP Workflow.,Fiori/UI5, andCore Data Services (CDS) views.

Qualifications:

• Graduation in Engineering or relevant with 8+ years of relevant experience in SAP ABAP.
• Proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including custom reports, enhancements, and interfaces.
• Hands-on experience withSAP S/4HANA,Fiori/UI5, andCDS views.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with performance tuning and clean core development principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Communication & Collaboration

• Facilitate workshops to gather and understand business requirements.
• Identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and clients.
• Mentor and coach junior developers to foster technical growth and knowledge sharing.
