ThePerDiemRegisteredNurseWill:

• ProvidedirectpatientcareinaccordancewiththeProfessionalPracticeModel,MANursePracticeAct,ANAStandardsofPractice,andBaystateHealthvalues.
• Performcomprehensivepatientassessmentsanddevelop,implement,andevaluateindividualizedplansofcare.
• Administermedicationsandtreatmentssafelywhilemaintainingstandardsofnursingpractice.
• Recognizechangesinpatientconditionandinterveneappropriatelytopromoteoptimaloutcomesandpatientsafety.
• Educatepatientsandfamiliesthroughouttheperioperativeexperienceandsupportdischargeplanningneeds.
• Collaboratewithsurgeons,anesthesiaproviders,andinterdisciplinaryteammemberstocoordinateeffectivepatientcare.
• Participateinqualityimprovementinitiatives,sharedgovernanceactivities,anddepartmentalperformanceimprovementefforts.
• Maintainclinicalcompetency,regulatorycompliance,andongoingprofessionaldevelopmentthroughrequirededucationandannualcompetencies.

RequiredSkills

• CurrentRegisteredNurse(RN)licensureintheCommonwealthofMassachusetts.
• Oneormoreyearsofnursingexperiencerequired.
• Demonstratedknowledgeandskillsnecessarytoprovidesafe,age-appropriate,patient-centeredcare.
• AnyexceptiontoexperiencerequirementsmustbeapprovedbytheChiefNursingOfficer(CNO).

PreferredQualifications&Skills

• PreviousexperienceinPerioperativeServices,SurgicalServices,OperatingRoom,PACU,orproceduralcaresettings.
• Strongclinicalassessment,communication,andcriticalthinkingskills.
• Abilitytocollaborateeffectivelywithininterdisciplinaryhealthcareteams.
