Mechanical Maintainer/Millwright

What will you be doing!

• Performing routine and non-routine preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems to ensure safe operation and continuity of production.
• Installing, modifying, and maintaining mechanical equipment and structures across site operations.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work packages to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Constructing, fabricating, installing, and decommissioning mechanical systems and components.
• Completing documentation and maintaining accurate maintenance records and work packages.
• Applying safety practices, codes, and standards to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Participating in safety meetings and reporting hazards, incidents, and concerns.
• Assisting in the training, coaching, and mentoring of apprentices and junior employees.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.   
   

What we are looking for: 

• Education 
  • Secondary school graduation diploma and qualification as an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (completion of an 8000-hour apprenticeship).
• Experience 
  • Experience performing maintenance and repair work in an industrial or mechanical environment.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes, inspection methods, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-trade teams and communicate across disciplines.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
• Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which hasa minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
