Ideal Candidate
Must possess aBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) from an accredited engineering program.
Must hold an activeProfessional Engineer (PE) License (or equivalent).
Must have10+ years of Structural Bridge Engineering experience with progressive technical leadership responsibilities.
Must have extensive experience inbridge planning, structural design, project execution, project management, and bridge rehabilitation.
Must have experience leading structural engineering teams while managing project schedules, budgets, staffing, and client relationships.
Must possess strongBusiness Development experience, including proposal development, client relationship management, and market growth.
Must have experience working withState DOTs, County Agencies, Municipal Transportation Departments, or other Public Infrastructure Clients.
Must have strong leadership experience including hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and staff development.
Experience managing department budgets, resource planning, and strategic growth initiatives is highly preferred.
TheTransportation Structural Section Headwill provide technical and operational leadership for a structural bridge engineering team responsible for planning, designing, and delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
This position will oversee project execution, business development, resource planning, financial performance, client relationships, and staff development while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with office leadership, project managers, transportation agencies, and engineering teams to drive strategic growth and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Structural Bridge Engineering section.
Oversee planning, design, and delivery of bridge engineering projects.
Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise.
Manage department budgets and resource allocation.
Lead proposal preparation and business development activities.
Develop strategic growth plans with office leadership.
Build and maintain relationships with DOT, county, municipal, and transportation clients.
Manage project schedules, staffing, budgets, and quality.
Recruit, interview, hire, and mentor engineering staff.
Conduct performance reviews and employee development planning.
Support project managers with technical guidance and problem resolution.
Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external stakeholders.
Ensure project delivery meets quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) License.
10+ years of Structural Bridge Engineering experience.
