Transaction Processor Associate II

Pay Rate: $20.22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No Weekends!!

Position Summary

TheTransaction Processor Associate II reports to a Transaction Processing Supervisor and supports a variety of transaction processing activities. This position is responsible for researching, analyzing, and updating consumer information across multiple systems while ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely completion of assigned work.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to maintain productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process case maintenance transactions accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Research, analyze, and update consumer information using designated systems.
  • Evaluate and determine eligibility for medical expenses related to applicable medical programs.
  • Screen consumers by accurately entering information into the Eligibility Determination System.
  • Communicate with clients and consumers through verbal and written communication as needed.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with employees, consumers, Access Health, DSS, and other stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed established daily productivity standards.
  • Meet established quality standards as outlined in the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable procedures, processes, and operating systems.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and within established deadlines and contract requirements.
  • Identify, document, and correct quality issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and consistently work to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Report to work on time and be prepared to perform assigned responsibilities at the beginning of each shift.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while managing a high-volume workload.
  • Follow all applicable project and site attendance policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience & Education

  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous experience witheligibility determination and/or transaction processing preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits administration, or a related field is a plus.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to type at least40 words per minute (WPM).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with feedback and apply it to improve performance.
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace while meeting established productivity and quality standards.
  • Ability to identify, document, and correct errors or quality issues.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and PC systems, or the ability to learn required systems through training.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction following completion of training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment

  • Primarily anoffice-based work environment.
  • Fast-paced, high-volume environment with established productivity and quality expectations.
  • Standard schedule isMonday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Overtime, evening hours, or occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.
