Pay: $29.00–$30.00/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (May vary based on production needs) Location: Elkhart, IN 46516 – Onsite
Overview Seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Training Coordinator to develop, organize, and improve employee training processes within a fast-paced bakery manufacturing environment.
This position focuses on streamlining new hire training, maintaining accurate training documentation, and ensuring production employees are properly trained on operational procedures.
Approximately 80% of the role will be spent on the production floor. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, learning all production positions, and providing hands-on training to employees.
Required Skills
- Experience in employee training, onboarding, or production operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate training records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop, document, and improve training procedures.
- Comfortable working directly on a production floor approximately 80% of the time.
- Willingness and ability to learn and perform all production positions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stack boxes up to 7 feet high.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedules based on production needs.
- Develop and implement standardized training processes and procedures for bakery production employees.
- Coordinate and streamline onboarding and training programs for new hires.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to employees on the production floor.
- Learn all production positions to effectively demonstrate tasks and train employees.
- Maintain, organize, and update employee training files and documentation.
- Monitor training progress and identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness.
- Partner with production supervisors to identify training needs and address skill gaps.
- Ensure employees understand production procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to employee training and operational efficiency.
- Support production activities as needed to maintain familiarity with daily operations.
- Report directly to the Production Supervisor.
- Previous experience as a Training Coordinator, Production Trainer, Manufacturing Trainer, or Lead Production Associate.
- Experience in food manufacturing, bakery production, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and onboarding programs.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety, quality, and production standards.
- Experience maintaining training records using Microsoft Office or similar systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Additional training or education in manufacturing, operations, or employee development is a plus.
