This is a contract consulting role focused on building and delivering training programs across a range of formats and audiences. The consultant will support the full training development lifecycle, from course outlines and instructional design through to final published materials, helping the organization strengthen how knowledge is structured, shared, and retained.
The ideal candidate brings 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience developing training and development programs, with solid instincts for visual design and content organization. You are comfortable working across self-paced and instructor-led formats, confident in both writing and verbal communication, and energized by the challenge of turning complex information into clear, engaging learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create course outlines and structure learning content into logical, audience-appropriate sequences
2. Develop training materials including PowerPoint decks, instructional videos, animated content, technical guides, and resource manuals
3. Prepare and publish final versions of training webinar materials
4. Support development of critical path documentation and program resource materials
5. Contribute to LMS content development and ensure materials are properly organized and accessible
6. Write clear, accurate technical and instructional content aligned to program goals
7. Assist in managing training plans and schedules to keep development on track
8. Collaborate across teams to support training for technology adoption and other organizational initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- 0 to 3 years of experience developing training and development programs
- Experience across multiple training formats including self-paced and instructor-led (ILT)
- Strong visual design sensibility and ability to organize content logically
- Technical writing experience
- Instructional design experience
- LMS content development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading training projects or serving in a training lead capacity
- Background in training for technology adoption
- Corporate communications experience
- E-learning development experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Captivate or Articulate
- Certified Training and Development Professional designation (CSTD or CTDP)
- Experience with career coaching
- Familiarity with additional e-learning authoring tools or modules
