Group Operations enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. As an Operations Department, we embrace and reinforce the strong PRIDE! culture that is built up in DBS. This is done through strategic focus on training and improving staff capability, empowerment, productivity, teamwork, innovation & technology, managing operational risks & strongly collaborating with our business partners in delivering excellent RED service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of trade operations specialists to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing of trade finance transactions.
• Oversee the daily workflow, monitor team performance, and provide technical guidance on complex trade transactions.
• Ensure all trade operations comply with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and international trade standards.
• Act as the primary escalation point for resolving operational issues, discrepancies, and client queries.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, drive automation initiatives, and support system enhancement projects.
• Mitigate operational risks by implementing robust control measures and conducting regular reviews.

Requirements

• Proven supervisory experience within trade finance operations, with a strong track record of leading and developing a team.
• Deep operational knowledge of Trade Finance products, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, and Trade Loan.
• Expertise in international trade regulations and guidelines, specifically the latest versions of UCP, ISBP, URDG, and ISP.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across various business units.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage tight operational deadlines.
