Role &Responsibilities

AsaSeniorSoftware DeveloperSpecialist,your responsibilitieswill be to contribute to thesoftware and infrastructural enhancements of the covered applications.

• You will also providemonitoring, answer supportcalls, and help resolve production issues fortheseapplications during the US night hours. In thisrole, you willfacilitate collaboration between software development and IT operations teams to streamline software delivery and infrastructure changes.  
• Critical competencies will include software development, building microservices, RESTful API, and browser-based user interfaces. Required competencieswill alsoinclude automation tools, cloud services, software development practices, and system administration techniques, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of modern IT environments.
• Besides working closely with your colleagues inMumbai you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

We expect you tohave: (Minimum Qualifications) 

• At least 7 years of experience as aSoftware Development engineer. 
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, HTML, React JS, SQL,and Javaisamust-have. 
• Experience with Spring, Spring boot, Kafka,RESTful web-services and Microservices,relational database. 
• Containersexpertise (Docker and Kubernetes). 
• AWS experience.
• DevOps Experience building and supporting infrastructure, deployment automation. 
• Terraformexpertise. 
• CI/CD pipeline experience. 
• Basic SQL knowledge. 
• Proficiency with Linux commands and utilities including Bash scripting. 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills that enable you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. 
• Good communication and collaboration skills that enable you to work well with developers, stakeholders, and users. 
• Passion for learningnew technologies and staying updated with industry trends that help you improve your skills and knowledge. 
• Creativity and innovation in creating solutions that meet user needs and expectations and deliver value to the business. 
• Attention to detail and quality assurancetoensure your software products are of high quality and meet the standards and requirements. 
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and cope with changing priorities and deadlines. 
• A genuine interest inthe financial industry andlearning about the markets, products, and services that Nasdaq offers.
• Education Qualification: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 

It would be great if you had (Preferred Qualifications) 

• Knowledge of Equities trading 

• Experience withreal-time,high-throughputapplications. 

• Understanding data lakes and data-warehousing. 

• Build tools: Maven and Git. 

• Java Frameworks (Keycloak, OpenSearch). 

• JSON. 

• Web security skills: SAML, encryption, certificates, and web attack protection. 

• JUnit, automatedtesting and test-driven development experience.
