Job Description
TPM Network and Telecom
Position Summary
The TPM Network and Telecom is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering network infrastructure projects within scope and timeline, acting as the primary liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, tracks technical requirements, and drives implementation of network upgrades, expansions, or migrations, following Bio-Rad's TPM operating model (demand governance, execution, risk and dependency management, and reporting).
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
•Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for network infrastructure initiatives.
•Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations in coordination with the domain engineering lead.
•Coordinate cross-functional project teams including network engineers, security, operations, and vendors.
•Proactively identify project risks and cross-team or cross-system dependencies; maintain a risk log with mitigation plans and escalate blocking risks through the appropriate rituals.
•Maintain project documentation, reports, and communication dashboards.
Stakeholder Coordination
•Serve as the point of coordination with vendors, service providers, and contractors on schedule and delivery follow-up (vendor negotiation and RFP ownership sit with the engineering lead / procurement).
•Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
•Align project deliverables with business requirements and expectations.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
•Collaborate with the domain engineering lead and shared financial services to surface budget status in project reporting (budget ownership is not a TPM responsibility).
•Contribute a retrospective component to project reviews: what worked, what didn't, and concrete process adjustments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
•7+ years of experience managing IT or network infrastructure projects.
•Strong understanding of networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
•Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, PMBOK).
•Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).
•Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
•Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
•PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or similar certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
•Familiarity with SD-WAN, network automation, or network monitoring tools.
•Background in telecom, data center operations, or enterprise network environments.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Working knowledge of Versa and Juniper devices, and of Microsoft Dynamics.
