The Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is our residentCozy Living Champion & Autumn Independence Ace. Working right alongside the Lead OT, you will help residents master their daily routines, reclaim their favorite seasonal activities, and stay thriving as autumn settles in!
Core Responsibilities
Harvesting Independence: Carry out personalized therapy plans, teaching smart adaptive strategies and fall prevention techniques to keep residents steady through the foliage season.
Cozy Collaboration: Sync up regularly with your Supervising OT, coach Restorative Aides, and keep families, docs, and nurses updated on every milestone and win.
Documentation Season: Keep resident records accurate, compliant, and up-to-date in Net Health or PointClickCare before grabbing your favorite warm fall beverage.
Life-Hack Specialist: Recommend and source cool adaptive equipment (splints, button hooks, grab bars, elevated seats) that make daily tasks a breeze.
Key Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
Licensure: Active state COTA license in good standing (plus CPR certification, if applicable).
Skills: Proficient with healthcare software, practical problem-solving skills, and a warm, positive communication style that brightens up the room.
Physical Demands & Vibe
The Harvest Heavy-Lifting: Active, hands-on role requiring movement, bending, and heavy lifting (50β100+ lbs) to safely transfer residents and guide exercise routines.
The Atmosphere: Friendly, low-to-moderate noise environment with supportive team vibes and reasonable accommodations available to keep everyone leaf-peeping and moving safely.
Pay: $35.00 β $42.00 / hour
