JOB SUMMARYThe Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for administering, analyzing, and supporting the organization's compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. This role partners with Human Resources, Finance, and business leaders to support compensation structures, incentive programs, benefits administration, HR analytics, and employee communication initiatives that attract, retain, and engage talent.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Administer the company's compensation programs, including salary structures, pay grades, job evaluations, and market pricing.
- Conduct compensation analyses and benchmarking studies using market survey data.
- Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases, promotions, market adjustments, and incentive programs.
- Prepare compensation recommendations and analytics for management review.
- Evaluate internal pay equity and assist in maintaining competitive compensation practices.
- Analyze compensation trends and provide recommendations to support recruitment and retention objectives.
- Assist with job description development and job classification reviews.
- Administer health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and issue resolution.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, employee communications, and educational sessions.
- Partner with benefit brokers and vendors to support effective program administration.
- Monitor benefit utilization and prepare reports and recommendations for plan improvements.
- Support benefit plan audits, reconciliations, and vendor performance reviews.
- Assist with leave administration and employee wellness initiatives.
- Maintain compensation and benefits data within HRIS systems.
- Develop and prepare reports, dashboards, and analyses related to compensation, benefits, turnover, and workforce trends.
- Analyze workforce and market data to support strategic Total Rewards initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee information.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Department of Labor requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to compensation and benefits programs.
- Stay informed of legislative and market developments impacting Total Rewards programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or Total Rewards administration. Experience working with HRIS systems and compensation survey tools is required.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis, is preferred. Experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG, ADP, Workday, Oracle, or SAP SuccessFactors is preferred. CCP, CEBS, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
