| Detailed Job Description | Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain network monitoring and management tools platforms. • Support and administer tools such as Solarwinds, LogiSplunk, Nagios, LiveNX. • Develop and manage custom integrations, dashboards, and APIs between network tools and IT systems. • Build and maintain automation workflows for network provisioning, configuration management, and data collection (e.g., using Ansible, Python, or REST APIs). • Ensure availability, performance, and scalability of network tools infrastructure. • Collaborate with network operations, engineering, and security teams to define monitoring and alerting standards. • Manage data ingestion pipelines for logs, SNMP traps, syslogs, and streaming telemetry. • Create and maintain documentation, topology maps, and operational runbooks. • Participate in incident response and assist in root cause analysis through monitoring data and metrics. • Evaluate and recommend new tools or enhancements to improve visibility, automation, and efficiency. • Ensure compliance with security and change management policies. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field. • 7 years of experience in network tools deployment & management. • Hands-on experience with at least two network monitoring/management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetBrain, Splunk, Cisco DNA Center, ThousandEyes). • Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs). • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and data processing. • Experience with Linux system administration and API-based integrations. • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid network monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP). Preferred: • Monitoring/automation certifications (SolarWinds Certified Professional, Ansible Certified Engineer, etc.). • Networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent). • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins for network automation and CI/CD pipelines. Key Skills: • Strong technical expertise in network monitoring and management tools. • Excellent scripting and automation capabilities. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and global teams. • Good documentation and communication skills. • Proactive mindset for platform reliability and continuous improvement. |
