Job Title: Tidal Automation Administrator
Work Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 3 months
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tidal Automation Administrator to manage, maintain, and support Tidal Workload Automation (TWA) across enterprise IT environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with job scheduling, workload automation, batch processing, dependency management, production monitoring, and incident resolution.
The candidate will work closely with application support, infrastructure, database, and operations teams to ensure scheduled jobs and automated workflows execute reliably and meet business service-level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Tidal Workload Automation environment.
- Create, modify, schedule, and monitor batch jobs, job groups, calendars, and workflows.
- Manage job dependencies, event triggers, scheduling calendars, and execution conditions.
- Monitor daily batch operations, identify failed or delayed jobs, and resolve scheduling issues.
- Troubleshoot job failures, execution delays, resource constraints, and workflow dependencies.
- Perform job reruns, recovery procedures, and exception handling in accordance with operational procedures.
- Support production batch processing and ensure adherence to SLAs and business processing windows.
- Coordinate with application, database, infrastructure, and middleware teams to resolve cross-platform job failures.
- Manage user access, permissions, scheduling configurations, and operational controls.
- Develop and maintain job documentation, runbooks, operating procedures, and support knowledge articles.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including root-cause analysis.
- Support Tidal upgrades, configuration changes, migrations, and environment maintenance as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency, reduce job failures, and automate repetitive operational tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise job scheduling, workload automation, or batch operations.
- Hands-on administration experience with Tidal Workload Automation (TWA).
- Strong understanding of job scheduling, dependencies, calendars, triggers, and batch processing workflows.
- Experience monitoring scheduled jobs, troubleshooting failures, and managing job recovery.
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with shell scripting, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with enterprise production support, incident management, and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise production environments.
- Familiarity with SQL and database batch processing.
- Experience integrating scheduled jobs with applications, file transfers, databases, and other enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices.
- Experience with workload automation migrations, upgrades, and performance optimization.
- Exposure to other scheduling tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, or IBM Workload Scheduler.
