Position Overview

Foundation Health is seeking anObstetrician-Gynecologist (OB/GYN) to join our growing specialty team. This role includes providing comprehensive gynecologic and obstetrical care in a community-based setting, with opportunities to build a focused practice aligned with your clinical interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including:
  • Routine well-woman exams and cervical cancer screening
  • Menstrual disorders and hormonal management
  • Contraception (including IUD and implant insertion/removal)
  • Menopause and perimenopausal care
  • Management of gynecologic conditions (e.g., fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS)
• Provide obstetrical care (if applicable), including:
  • Prenatal and postnatal care
  • Labour and delivery participation (based on hospital privileges and call structure)
• Perform office-based procedures such as:
  • Endometrial biopsies
  • Colposcopy and treatment of cervical dysplasia
  • Minor surgical procedures
• Collaborate with family physicians, midwives, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient education and counselling on reproductive health
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
• Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives

Qualifications

• Medical degree with licensure in Ontario (or eligibility through CPSO)
• Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)
• Experience in both gynecology and obstetrics preferred (flexible depending on practice focus)
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges (if participating in obstetrics)
• Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
