Test Manager

Overview:

As the Associate Principal Test Engineer / Test Manager, you will develop capability and own testing for a function or category to ensure test plan, test execution, reporting and results are delivered on time, on cost, on quality and on spec.

Accountabilities:

• You will lead your team in the development of test capabilities and in the analysis of results in line with technical disciplines, through investigative and verification testing.
• You are accountable for a category or business unit and ensure test deliverables are on quality, time, spec, cost and safety targets are met
• You foster collaboration through instilling the right mindset: widespread respect for colleagues’ contributions, openness to experimenting with others’ ideas, and sensitivity to how one’s actions may affect teammates and outcomes.
• You will own test department deliverables for a category or function and anticipate, manage and mitigate risks associated to complete the deliverables including testing, reporting and analysis.
• You provide appropriate updates to key stakeholders and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• You are responsible for the performance and growth of your teams skills and careers is line with Dyson’s high performance culture.

Skills / Experience:

• You can plan and act strategically to deliver high-quality test capability for projects in development.
• You are a clear and calm thinker with the ability to work within, or quickly adapt to, Dyson’s fast-paced and flexible culture.
• You have the experience in managing an engaged team, taking responsibility for all related operational tasks such as goal setting, coaching and performance evaluation.
• You have excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
• You are an effective communicator: you deliver appropriate, concise and accurate information in written and verbal format.
• You are comfortable at multi-tasking and planning effectively when working with a variety of project teams.
• You have strong commercial awareness with an interest in the wider Dyson business and industry.
• You have the ability to inspire your team to meet then needs of projects while managing there wellbeing.
