Job Description
The successful candidate is regarded as the subject matter expert for production acceptance test and will act as Operations Test Engineering technical lead.- Extensive interface with the Engineering function during product development to ensure testability during production
- Develop and review production test approach
- Maintain understanding of product architecture roadmap and ensure test processes and capabilities align to support that roadmap
- Technical mentor for test engineering team
- Develop cross-functional relationships that go beyond site and business area boundaries to leverage and promote best practices
Demonstrated ability to lead a small team to develop hardware and software acceptance test solution for complex new products without management oversight.
Demonstrated technical ownership of production test on multiple complex programs.
Provide training, guidance and mentoring to the test engineering team.
Support Test Engineering manager by providing technical solution inputs on proposals.
Must be self-directed and have the ability to organize workload to develop a plan to maximize efficiency of performing tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as the candidate acts as an interface with internal and external customers.
Candidate must have flexible schedule and exceptional work ethic to respond to the challenges of a dynamic environment.
Required Skills and Education
BSEE or similar 4 year technical degree10 years of experience in test engineering role
Ability to lead small teams and provide technical mentoring concurrently with executing independent assignments
Preferred Skills and Education
BSEE or similar 4 year technical degree10 years of experience in test engineering role
Significant experience working in a production test environment on flight controls, power and battery products
Significant experience developing acceptance test for flight controls, power and battery products using CsGTI, NI TestStand, Labview, Visual Basic or similar test executives and programming languages utilized in the Test Engineering discipline
