The Test Engineer L2 will be responsible for developing and executing test plans and procedures for automotive components and systems. The role involves analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, supporting validation activities, and recommending design improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and procedures using engineering principles and analysis tools.
- Test design parts and components to determine design feasibility and ensure compliance with acceptance criteria, performance targets, and applicable standards.
- Create test specifications, data settings, and test schedules.
- Prepare and set up test equipment and conduct moderately complex tests.
- Document and summarize test results and conclusions.
- Analyze and interpret test results to predict performance and failure modes.
- Identify issues and develop appropriate countermeasures.
- Communicate test results through technical reports and presentations.
- Recommend design changes and corrective actions based on test analysis.
- Support automotive ECU development and integration.
- Perform vehicle-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of Test Engineering experience.
- Automotive ECU development and integration.
- CAN / Automotive Ethernet network analysis.
- ADAS system development and validation.
- Vehicle-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Experience with Vector CANoe and related automotive tools.
- Requirements development and specification review.
- Diagnostic communications and fault management.
- Test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Supplier and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (ME) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
- 6 years of related experience may be substituted for the required degree.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills.
