Job Description:
- This role is responsible for validating pre-production SSDs using production servers and/or Ecosystem partner switch, HBA, RAID adapter, and retimer products.
- The position emphasizes technical ownership, test strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration to improve validation quality and efficiency.
- Experience with industry AI tools will be helpful as use of these tools is mandatory in the role.
- Review and enhance test plans, coverage, and execution to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Recommend and implement enhanced validation methodologies and tools.
- Maintain expertise in product functionality and relevant industry certifications.
- Define validation strategies aligned with project scope and delivery timelines.
- Identify appropriate test equipment and resources.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases.
- Define and execute automation strategies supporting internal test frameworks.
- Continuously improve validation processes and methodologies.
- Partner with CVE and product design teams to align test coverage with firmware and hardware architecture.
- Support shift left initiatives to detect issues earlier in the development cycle.
- Prepare SSD and server samples for validation.
- Execute validation plans and monitor test efficiency.
- Analyze results, including Pareto and trend analysis.
- Produce clear, concise validation reports and maintain document revision history.
- Drive root cause analysis and resolution of defects from internal teams, partners, and customers.
- Ensure reproducible failure documentation with clear traceability.
- Communicate risk and collaborate across teams to assess results and manage deviations.
