Job Summary

We are looking for an experiencedTest Automation Architect to define and implement the automation strategy across web, API, mobile, and enterprise applications. The architect will design scalable automation frameworks, establish coding and testing standards, integrate automation with CI/CD, and guide QA engineers in adopting modern automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Strategy

• Define the organization'stest automation strategy and roadmap.
• Identify suitable candidates for automation based on risk, ROI, stability, and business value.
• Define automation scope across:
  • UI testing
  • API testing
  • Mobile testing
  • Database testing
  • Performance testing
  • Regression testing
• Establish automation KPIs and quality metrics.
• Evaluate and recommend automation tools and technologies.

2. Framework Design

• Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks.
• Develop frameworks using technologies such as:
  • Selenium
  • Playwright
  • Appium
  • REST Assured
  • JMeter
• Implement design patterns such as:
  • Page Object Model
  • Factory Pattern
  • Strategy Pattern
  • Builder Pattern
• Develop reusable utilities for:
  • WebDriver management
  • API requests
  • Database connections
  • Test data
  • Logging
  • Reporting
  • Configuration management
  • Screenshot/video capture

3. Automation Architecture

Design architecture such as:

Test Cases → Automation Framework → Selenium/Playwright → Application

and

API Tests → REST Assured → API → Database

with integration into:

Git → CI/CD → Automated Tests → Reports → Quality Gate

4. CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated tests intoJenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement automated execution as part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure:
  • Smoke suites
  • Regression suites
  • Parallel execution
  • Scheduled execution
  • Environment-based execution
• Implement quality gates based on automation results.

5. Parallel & Distributed Execution

• Design solutions for large-scale parallel execution.
• Use Selenium Grid or cloud platforms such as:
  • BrowserStack
  • Sauce Labs
• Optimize execution time through:
  • Parallelization
  • Test prioritization
  • API-level testing
  • Eliminating unnecessary waits
  • Intelligent test selection

6. Code Quality & Standards

• Establish coding standards for automation engineers.
• Conduct framework and code reviews.
• Ensure automation code is:
  • Maintainable
  • Reusable
  • Readable
  • Scalable
  • Reliable
• Reduce flaky tests and improve automation stability.

7. Reporting & Monitoring

• Implement automation reporting using tools such as:
  • Allure
  • Extent Reports
  • TestNG reports
• Track:
  • Pass/fail percentage
  • Automation coverage
  • Execution time
  • Flaky tests
  • Defect leakage
  • Regression effectiveness

8. Leadership & Mentoring

• Mentor QA automation engineers.
• Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Review automation contributions from team members.
• Define best practices across QA teams.
• Work with developers, DevOps, product managers, and architects.
