Position Summary
Parker Poe is seeking a technology-savvy and service-oriented Technology Trainer to help attorneys and staff maximize the value of the firm's technology tools. In this role, you will deliver engaging training programs, onboarding experiences, and one-on-one coaching that build user confidence, support technology adoption, and enhance productivity across the firm. Working closely with IT teams, you will develop learning resources, support software implementations, and help attorneys and business professionals stay up to date with evolving technologies, including AI-powered tools.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, building relationships, and solving problems. The successful candidate is a patient and engaging communicator who is passionate about helping others learn and can translate technical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand guidance. Whether you're leading a classroom session, coaching a new hire one-on-one, or supporting the rollout of new technology, you'll play an important role in helping Parker Poe’s attorneys and business professionals succeed and maximize the value of the firm's technology investments.
This full-time position can be based in Parker Poe's Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Atlanta, GA; Columbia, SC; Charleston, SC; or Greenville, SC office, with a preference for Charlotte, Raleigh, or Atlanta. This role includes occasional travel to other Parker Poe offices throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, and Washington, DC. Overtime opportunities may be available to support training initiatives, technology rollouts, and onboarding activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Training Delivery and User Development
- Deliver engaging technology onboarding programs and follow-up coaching that help new hires quickly build confidence with the firm's technology tools.
- Facilitate interactive classroom, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions tailored to diverse learning styles and business needs.
- Equip attorneys and staff with practical skills in Microsoft Word, firm templates and styles, redlining, document comparison, and Litera applications.
- Introduce users to firm-approved AI tools and best practices, helping professionals embrace emerging technologies with confidence.
- Support firm-wide software implementations and technology rollouts by delivering training, coaching, and change-management support across multiple office locations.
Learning Content and Program Administration
- Create and maintain engaging learning resources, including quick reference guides, job aids, training handouts, and short instructional videos that support technology adoption and ongoing professional development.
- Coordinate training programs through the Learning Management System by scheduling classes, managing enrollments, tracking participation and completion data, and gathering feedback to continuously enhance the learner experience and training effectiveness.
Technology Adoption and Application Testing
- Partner with the Applications Team to evaluate software upgrades, new technologies, and system enhancements, helping ensure a seamless user experience across the firm.
- Identify training opportunities, provide user-focused feedback, and help shape learning strategies that support successful implementation and user engagement.
- Play an active role in software implementations and firm-wide technology initiatives by preparing users to confidently embrace new tools, workflows, and ways of working.
User Support and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted technology resource for attorneys, staff, and internal departments by providing secondary application support, troubleshooting guidance, and user-focused solutions.
- Deliver targeted training and knowledge-sharing sessions that strengthen Help Desk capabilities and enhance the overall user experience.
- Partner with cross-functional IT teams to identify user needs, improve training programs, and support firm-wide technology initiatives that drive productivity and adoption.
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and learning best practices by continuously expanding your technical expertise and training capabilities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the user experience, strengthen technology adoption, and develop innovative learning solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Contribute to a collaborative and growth-oriented IT team by supporting special projects and additional initiatives that advance the firm's technology and training objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience delivering engaging technology training, software instruction, or user adoption programs for adult learners in classroom, virtual, and one-on-one environments, and a bachelor's degree in information technology, education, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a law firm, professional services, or other client-focused environment, preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as Windows 11 and document management systems, required.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional design tools, or video/e-learning platforms to create engaging learning experiences preferred.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and enthusiasm for helping users adopt emerging technologies and new ways of working.
- Outstanding presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a passion for helping others learn and succeed.
- Strong customer service mindset with exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through abilities.
- Curious and proactive approach to understanding user workflows, identifying training opportunities, and driving technology adoption.
- Willingness to travel to firm offices throughout the Southeast and Washington, DC to build relationships, deliver engaging training programs, and support firm-wide technology adoption initiatives.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and confidently support users in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain discretion when handling sensitive client and firm information.
