Role Purpose: Assess the current SOE and Oracle SOA landscape, document business and technical flows, identify gaps and dependencies, and establish a reliable baseline for future state design.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops to understand business processes, service usage, pain points, and improvement expectations.
• Analyze existing SOA composites, BPEL processes, OSB services, interfaces, adapters, transformations, and integrations.
• Map applications, business functions, processes, service consumers, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Review existing WSDLs, XSDs, service contracts, security controls, SLAs, error handling, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Identify duplicate services, architectural gaps, technical debt, performance constraints, risks, and compliance concerns.
• Prepare as is architecture diagrams, interface inventories, process maps, dependency matrices, and gap analysis reports.
• Validate findings with business, architecture, development, testing, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Provide recommendations and inputs for service rationalization, modernization priorities, estimates, and the target state roadmap.
