CLIENT is initiating the use of Microsoft Playwright for technical testing across the IT
department. To accelerate this effort, CLIENT is seeking an experienced Technical
Testing & Automation Consultant to assist in developing automated test scripts
specifically tailored for PeopleSoft functional testing.
The primary goal of this engagement is to build robust, scalable end-to-end test suites
while ensuring full knowledge transfer so that CLIENT IT personnel can easily maintain,
update, and extend the scripts moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
· Test Script Development: Design, write, and execute automated functional test
scripts using Microsoft Playwright to validate PeopleSoft business processes and
workflows.
· Framework Optimization: Ensure test scripts follow modular, maintainable, and
readable architectural patterns (e.g., Page Object Model) so non-primary authors
can easily update them.
· PeopleSoft Testing Strategy: Map functional requirements and end-to-end user
scenarios in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions / Financials into reliable automated
test cases.
· Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship: Provide clear documentation, maintenance
guidelines, and hands-on training to CLIENT staff to build internal proficiency
with Playwright.
· Integration & Maintenance: Set up test structures and reporting mechanisms
that allow CLIENT IT to seamlessly maintain, run, and scale automated testing
as PeopleSoft receives updates and patches.
Required Qualifications & Experience
· Microsoft Playwright Expertise: Hands-on, practical experience scripting
automated test suites with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
· PeopleSoft Functional Testing: Demonstrated experience writing and
maintaining automated functional tests for PeopleSoft enterprise applications.
· Maintainability Focus: Proven track record of delivering clean, well-structured,
and well-documented test code designed for long-term ownership by client
teams.
· Test Automation Best Practices: Deep understanding of test architecture,
dynamic wait strategies, element locators in complex web applications, and test
execution reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with automated testing in a Higher Education environment (Campus
Solutions, Student Financials, HR, or Financials).
· Experience integrating Playwright scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure
DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
