Location: Shelton, CT 06484
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: 35 Hourly
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday, possibly remote on Mon & Fri
Position Overview:
- Provide technical assistance and detailed product information to Field Sales Representatives, Product Mangers, end users, architects and specification engineers to enable proper selection and application of Wiring Device-Kellems and Bryant Electric products.
- Answer inquiries relative to Wiring Device-Kellems and Bryant Electric products and their applications received by phone, email and/or fax.
- Provide engineering drawings, installation instructions and wiring diagrams as requested.
- Assist Product Managers and Engineering in their development of catalogs, data sheets, installation instructions and other forms of both printed and electronic literature for new or redesigned products.
- Troubleshoot wiring and applications with end users, electricians and engineers.
- Provide competitive cross references.
- Maintain and update online tools and product information on internal and external websites.
- Maintain files on codes, standards (both UL/CSA) data on federal specifications, trade compliance and environmental inquiries as applicable.
- Provide assistance and feedback to Quality regarding any reported product issues.
- Assist in other functions, projects, training etc. as required.
- Bachelor of Science and/or Technical school graduate preferred, Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years experience in the wiring device industry will be considered.
- Hands-on electrical experience either within the wiring device industry or as an unlimited licensed electrician familiar with wiring applications is desirable.
- The person should show good mechanical aptitude, be fluent in both spoken and written English and show a tendency to be creative in problem solving. Good communication skills via email and phone is a must.
- The candidate should be computer literate with strong understanding of Microsoft programs. SAP experience is preferred, Salesforce experience is a plus.
