Job description

Technical Project Analyst

Thoriva · Remote · Full-Time

Thoriva, an Infinite Company, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Analyst to drive technical security projects from intake through implementation, transition, and closure. This delivery-focused role coordinates engineers, architects, vendors, business partners, and governance stakeholders to turn security, regulatory, audit, and business requirements into executable plans.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Thoriva is an AI technology company delivering intelligent, data-driven solutions that help government and federal agencies address complex operational challenges.

JOB SUMMARY

You will serve as the accountable coordination lead for assigned security initiatives, establishing scope, schedules, milestones, ownership, dependencies, risks, governance, implementation readiness, and executive reporting. The role leads delivery across identity and access management, privileged access, security operations, vulnerability remediation, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, and compliance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical security projects through intake, chartering, planning, execution, implementation, transition, and closure.

  • Coordinate subject matter experts, engineers, operational owners, and solution architects; this role does not perform day-to-day identity administration or own solution architecture.

  • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, acceptance criteria, milestones, resources, dependencies, costs, and implementation plans.

  • Maintain schedules, action trackers, risk and issue logs, decision records, change controls, status reports, and audit-ready documentation.

  • Facilitate requirements sessions, technical working meetings, governance reviews, stakeholder decisions, and readiness assessments.

  • Ensure technical owners define, validate, document, and approve solutions while driving execution, accountability, and delivery.

  • Translate technical, regulatory, audit, and business requirements into work items, owners, due dates, evidence needs, and measurable outcomes.

  • Identify constraints, resource conflicts, dependencies, and security risks early; drive escalation, decisions, and corrective action.

  • Coordinate testing, validation, change management, deployment readiness, operational handoff, and post-implementation review.

  • Deliver concise executive reporting on progress, milestones, risks, decisions, owners, due dates, and business or security impacts.

  • Ensure outcomes align with security policies, architecture standards, controls, governance, and applicable audit or regulatory expectations.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and support portfolio prioritization by communicating capacity, sequencing, dependencies, and risk.

  • Provide leadership, facilitation, accountability, and follow-through across multiple concurrent initiatives without direct-report responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of information technology, cybersecurity, technical project management, or program delivery experience, including full-lifecycle leadership of technical or security projects.

  • Working knowledge of security controls, risk and vulnerability management, identity and privileged access, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, and security operations.

  • Strong command of project delivery practices and artifacts, including scope, schedules, resources, dependencies, change control, risks, issues, decisions, status reporting, implementation plans, and governance documentation.

  • Experience coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, architects, and leaders across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Ability to translate technical, security, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements into actionable plans, ownership, due dates, and evidence expectations.

  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology, International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission 27001, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, System and Organization Controls, or comparable frameworks.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong leadership, organization, facilitation, executive communication, problem-solving, prioritization, attention to detail, and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional, Certified Associate in Project Management, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, or comparable certification.

  • Experience in U.S. federal government, financial services, or other highly regulated environments; globally distributed teams; and Agile or Waterfall delivery.

  • Experience using artificial intelligence-enabled tools for documentation, reporting, risk analysis, meeting summaries, or operational analysis; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance when required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO) benefits.

  • Remote work flexibility.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or higher
  • Range of Year Experience-Min Year: 5
  • Range of Year Experience-Max Year: 7
