Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add aDesign, Process and Technology Engineer located in Prai, Penang.

 

Responsibilities:

• Be thebridge between our innovation engineering teams and high-volume production groups, turning creative concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Evaluate product designs and providedata-driven recommendations to boost process efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to designinnovative, cost-effective, and scalable manufacturing processes.
• Partner with design engineers to developprototype and low-volume build processes, ensuring smooth technology transfer.
• Leadquick-reaction engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges during product builds.
• Define, implement, and sustainrobust and repeatable process parameters for high-quality manufacturing.
• Conduct root cause analyses and drivecontinuous improvement across production lines.
• Applystatistical process control (SPC) and analytical tools to monitor and optimize performance and yield.
• Championsafety, productivity, and throughput enhancements, creating a culture of operational excellence.
• Innovate and refine manufacturing techniques to expand Flex’sin-house capabilities and improve yield outcomes.
• Develop and maintainclear process documentation and training materials.
• Support technology transfers by deliveringhands-on training to production personnel.
• Participate inPFMEA and DFMEA to ensure design and process reliability from concept to completion.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum4 years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge ofPCBA, SMT, Wave Soldering, and Assembly processes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in coordinating with multi stake-holders to ensure smooth project transfer from R&D, Dongguan factory to Penang site.
