Technical Product Owner

• We are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner to drive product definition and delivery for a platform supporting global clinical trials.
• This role will work at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, partnering closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and UX designers to transform complex business challenges into impactful product solutions.
• The ideal candidate combines strong product management fundamentals with exceptional stakeholder management, product discovery, and problem-solving capabilities. They will be responsible for maximizing product value, prioritizing outcomes, and ensuring successful delivery aligned with strategic business goals.

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, workflows, pain points, and success measures.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and business teams during product discovery to define problems, validate assumptions, and identify value-driven opportunities.
• Act as the primary liaison between business, engineering, architecture, and UX teams.

Product Discovery & Strategy Support

• Support discovery activities including user research, journey mapping, workshops, and hypothesis validation.
• Translate insights into actionable product requirements and prioritized initiatives.
• Contribute to defining MVPs and strategic product direction.

Product Backlog Ownership

• Own, maintain, and continuously prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and strategic priorities.
• Refine and sequence backlog items to ensure efficient and predictable delivery.

Requirements Definition

• Convert business needs into clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), epics, user stories, and detailed acceptance criteria.
• Develop Gherkin-style acceptance criteria to ensure alignment between business and engineering teams.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, QA, and UX teams to define solutions and assess trade-offs.
• Facilitate decision-making to ensure optimal product outcomes.

Agile Delivery Management

• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure development teams remain focused, unblock impediments, and drive continuous delivery.

Risk, Dependency & Release Management

• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release planning, rollout execution, and post-launch validation.

AI-Enabled Product Ownership

• Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Cursor, and similar solutions to accelerate product documentation, research, backlog refinement, and requirement creation.
• Identify opportunities to improve team productivity and product delivery through AI-driven workflows.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of Product Ownership/Product Management experience; OR
• MBA with 3+ years of Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis experience with demonstrated progression into product roles.

Experience

• 5-12 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or closely related product-focused roles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Prior exposure to healthcare, life sciences, clinical trials, or regulated environments is highly desirable.
