About the Role
We are looking for a highly technical, execution-oriented Product Manager to help design and build internal software products and platforms.
This is not a traditional Product Manager role focused primarily on roadmaps, meetings, backlog administration, and coordinating large development teams. We need someone who can take a high-level business objective, determine what the product needs to do, translate that vision into technical requirements, and drive the solution through delivery.
The ideal candidate sits at the intersection of Product Management and Software Engineering. You don't necessarily need to be a full-time developer, but you should understand software well enough to design solutions, work effectively with engineers, and increasingly use AI coding agents to accelerate development.
This is a hands-on environment where people are given significant ownership and expected to turn ideas into working products quickly.
What You'll Do
- Take high-level business objectives and translate them into clear product requirements and working software solutions.
- Own products from initial concept and requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Use and direct AI coding agents to accelerate software development and prototype new solutions.
- Partner closely with engineers while maintaining enough technical depth to challenge assumptions and make informed product decisions.
- Design workflows, integrations, connectors, and automation between internal systems.
- Build products that collect, organize, analyze, and present data from multiple systems.
- Define epics, user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and weekly deliverables.
- Make pragmatic decisions that balance speed, technical quality, maintainability, and business value.
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand problems and convert ambiguous requirements into executable solutions.
- Own deliverables with minimal supervision and communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly.
- Help create lightweight, scalable internal products rather than relying exclusively on large enterprise software platforms.
Example Projects
Projects may include:
- Building automated audit evidence and compliance tooling that connects to multiple systems and collects evidence on a recurring basis.
- Developing connectors between internal platforms, inventory systems, and other enterprise applications.
- Creating internal inventory, project management, financial reporting, and operational tools.
- Using AI-assisted development to rapidly prototype and deliver new applications based on business requirements.
- 3–5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably working for a company that develops and sells software products.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand software architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, and application development.
- Experience taking an ambiguous business problem and independently turning it into a working product or technical solution.
- Experience partnering directly with software engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of modern software development and Agile/Kanban delivery practices.
- Experience writing product requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a startup, high-growth, or similarly lean engineering environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable challenging assumptions or speaking up when necessary.
Experience using AI-assisted software development tools or coding agents is highly desirable.
