Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Process Engineer - Aluminum for a direct hire position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000 per year, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for the technical support of operations and sales for aluminum mills. The ideal candidate will have direct contact with customers, R&D, engineering, and sales teams, utilizing an entrepreneurial mindset to provide troubleshooting, enhancements, and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for market strategy, business planning, and sales in North America for Aluminum mill solutions
- Directly contact customers with the assistance of sales and service personnel if required
- Provide technical presentation of papers at customer and marketing events to generate opportunities and market awareness
- Create an open dialog with customers to seek out current issues and develop solutions utilizing global technical resources
- Obtain RFQs and generate opportunities from customers and present them to internal resources to be processed and assist in preparing the final technical and commercial proposal
- Provide technical and commercial presentation of proposals to perspective customers
- Participate in scope and project clarification meetings at perspective customers
- Provide regular status updates for all sales opportunities
- Perform onsite assessment of Aluminum Mill Equipment
- Act as technical interface with customers to assist in any operational and process questions that arise
- Provide onsite installation and supervision of Aluminum Mill Equipment
Primary Requirements:
- Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Aluminum
- Strong background in Aluminum mill equipment commissioning and operations
- Multi-disciplined aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical, fluid, and electrical drawings and schematics
- Ability to work with multiple departments and in a diverse team-based environment
- Strong confidence to communicate with customers, onsite subcontractors, and internal teams frequently
- High self-motivation to be proactive with ideas and problem-solving skills to serve the customer with minimum direction
- Commercial and cost estimation understanding
- Sound knowledge of MS Office
- Domestic travel and limited international travel required
Desired Skills:
- Commissioning and field service experience
- Operational experience
- Mill engineering or process experience
