Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring an Technical Operations Test Engineer to directly support our Munitions Acceleration Team! As we scale our THAAD production by 4x this role will directly support our factory test equipment readiness and technical operations. We are actively investing in additional CCA test equipment and THAAD Seeker test equipment that will need to be built, validated, and moved into our new factories in time for key production milestones. Once our new test assets are in place, this role will transition into a product focused test engineering scope within our THAAD & APKWS factory teams.Location/Schedule/Travel:
- This position will be based in Nashua, NH working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
- This role will require onsite work
- This position may require occaisional travel (<10%)
- Supports builds of THAAD CCA & Seeker test equipment in partnership with Engineering and Operations teams
- Supports the overall equipment build and transition strategies via engagement with MAT Eng lead
- Partners with MAT OPM and Eng to manage test equipment staging, inventories, and asset management
- Provides equipment validation, metrology, and troubleshooting support to ensure equipment readiness to ramp milestones
- Identifies opportunities to implement testing efficiencies to improve product yield and manufacturing flow
Required Skills and Education
- Understanding of test equipment drawings and schematics
- Knowledge & experience with test equipment elements such as cabling, ITA's, power supplies, etc.
- Experience within PLM to source and utilize applicable engineering documentation and BOM's
- Active secret clearance
- Experience with troubleshooting test solutions to maintain equipment uptime
Preferred Skills and Education
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure shared success
- Ability to execute within accelerated schedule milestones
- 10+ years in defense electronics testing experience (EO/IR, RF, DASALS)
- Ability to efficiently communicate project status, risks, opportunities, and needs
- In-depth knowleadge of PNA-X & Spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power suppliers/meters, oscilloscopes
- Experience within manual electronics testing
