DevOps Engineer:

Role summary
Build the pipelines, automation and monitoring that move database and application changes safely through every environment, up to production cutover.

Responsibilities

• Build CI/CD pipelines for database code, application changes and infrastructure code.
• Add DevSecOps controls: code and security scanning, secrets handling and approval gates.
• Automate environment promotion (Dev, SIT, UAT, Stage, Prod) and the cutover runbook steps.
• Set up monitoring and alerting (uptime, replication lag, errors) with alerts to PagerDuty and email.
• Automate deployments, rollbacks and test runs with the QA team.
• Keep this project's code in step with other teams' releases (compare and merge before each phase deployment).
• Maintain runbooks and release documentation.

Required skills

• 4+ years in DevOps, with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).
• Scripting (Bash or Python) and Git branching and merge workflows.
• Monitoring tools and alert design.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Terraform pipelines.

Nice to have

• Database change tooling (Liquibase or Flyway).
• Security scanning tools (Guardium or similar).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or CDC pipelines.
• Healthcare or regulated environments.
