Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect or Technical Lead to define and drive the technical direction of our Salesforce delivery work. Client helps companies in the Staffing and Workforce Management industry modernize their business processes and technology, and in this role, you will help ensure the technology we design and deliver supports that broader modernization. In this role, you will design scalable, durable solutions across complex client engagements, lead and mentor a development team, and serve as the technical decision-maker on architecture, integrations, and platform best practices. You will also leverage AI as part of our delivery methodology to increase pace, quality, and client outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on Salesforce expertise with the communication skills to translate technical direction for non-technical stakeholders, and a consulting mindset that keeps long-term org health as a priority alongside delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the technical architecture for client implementations, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce best practices
Lead solution design sessions and translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications
Serve as the technical decision-maker on projects: data model design, integration patterns, security model, and release strategy
Review and approve developer work, enforcing code quality, governor limit awareness, and long-term org health
Build and maintain complex custom solutions including Apex classes, triggers, LWC components, and advanced Flow architectures
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms (Quickbooks, ADP, Bullhorn, and others common in the staffing industry)
Partner with Project Leads and Client to scope technical work accurately and surface risks early
Mentor junior and mid-level developers, leveling up the team's technical capability over time
Stay current on Salesforce platform releases, new features, and architectural patterns and actively bring that knowledge back to the team
Participate in pre-sales technical scoping and solution design for new opportunities

What do we need?

5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect-level role
Deep expertise in Apex, SOQL, LWC, and Flow. You can build it yourself, and direct others
Strong grasp of Salesforce data modeling, security model (sharing rules, permission sets, OWD), and platform governance
Integration experience: REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, platform events, middleware patterns
Salesforce certifications expected: Platform Developer I/II at minimum; Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA are strong differentiators
Consulting background preferred: you're comfortable managing technical complexity across multiple client orgs simultaneously
Experience with staffing/recruiting platforms or ATS integrations is a meaningful plus
Strong communicator who can explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders without losing credibility with developers
Experience with DevOps tooling (Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, version control) is a plus
Familiarity with the platforms staffing firms run on: ATS Systems (Bullhorn, Assist, TargetRecruit, etc.), VMS tools, and middle and back-office systems (3B, 2Cloud9, and more).
