Job Description – Senior Developer / Technical Lead 

Experience 

8–10 years of relevant experience in Software Development, Platform Development, Systems Engineering, or Automation Engineering. 

Role Summary 

Hands-on Senior Developer / Technical Lead responsible for designing and developing platform solutions and automation across RHEL/Linux, Platform Security, Security Compliance, Jenkins, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, troubleshooting, security/compliance automation, and CI/CD integration. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of platform software, utilities, and automation for RHEL/Linux. 

• Develop robust Shell/Python-based automation for configuration, deployment, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. 

• Design and implement platform security and security compliance automation. 

• Drive RHEL security hardening, secure configuration, vulnerability and compliance validation. 

• Design and integrate solutions with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. 

• Develop and deploy solutions across Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes environments. 

• Design reusable, scalable, secure, and maintainable automation components. 

• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex platform, security, CI/CD, and deployment issues. 

• Conduct technical design and code reviews and drive development best practices. 

• Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, Security, Architecture, and Product teams. 

• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance to the team. 

• Drive continuous improvement in automation, platform reliability, security, compliance, and engineering efficiency. 

• Evaluate and leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Gemini for coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation. 

Required Skills 

RHEL / Platform 

• Strong hands-on expertise in RHEL/Linux. 

• Strong understanding of Linux configuration, processes, services, networking, permissions, logs, and troubleshooting. 

• Strong Shell, Python scripting skills. 

• Experience with Linux/system-level development or automation. 

Platform Security & Compliance 

• Strong understanding of RHEL/Linux security and hardening. 

• Experience with secure configuration and security control validation. 

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, permissions, certificates, and vulnerabilities. 

• Strong understanding of security compliance requirements and validation. 

• Experience automating security and compliance checks. 

CI/CD & Cloud 

• Strong experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines. 

• Strong working knowledge of Git. 

• Working/strong knowledge of Azure. 

• Hands-on experience with Docker. 

• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s). 

• Experience with OpenShift is an advantage. 

Development 

• Strong Shell, Python scripting and software development skills. 

• C++ or Java experience preferred. 

• Understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications is an advantage. 

AI-Assisted Development 

• Practical experience with Cursor, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools. 

• Ability to use AI for code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation. 

• Ability to validate AI-generated code for quality, security, and maintainability. 

Technical Leadership 

• Own technical design and delivery of platform development and automation initiatives. 

• Translate requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions. 

• Define and enforce coding, design, security, and automation standards. 

• Conduct design and code reviews. 

• Identify technical risks and drive resolution. 

• Mentor developers and provide technical direction. 

• Drive modernization and continuous improvement of platform solutions. 

Candidate Profile 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior Developer / Technical Lead with strong expertise across Platform Security, Secur RHEL, Shell, Python, ity Compliance, Jenkins, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. 

Strong technical leadership, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills are essential.
