Job description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experiencedSenior Manual QA Tester with 8–10 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, identifying defects, validating business requirements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise infunctional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, UAT, and end-to-end testing, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and functional requirements and identify test scenarios and test conditions.
Create, review, and maintain detailedtest plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
Execute manual test cases and document test results.
Performfunctional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such asJira, Zephyr , or similar defect-management systems.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers to investigate and resolve defects.
Participate inrequirement reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Perform impact analysis for application changes and prepare appropriate regression test suites.
Validate application behavior across different browsers, devices, environments, and configurations where applicable.
PerformAPI testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools, where required.
Validate database records usingSQL queries and perform backend data verification.
SupportUAT and production validation activities.
Review test coverage and identify gaps in existing test scenarios.
Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers and provide guidance on testing best practices.
Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, documentation, and overall product quality.
Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, issues, and release readiness.

Required Skills

8–10 years of hands-on experience in software testing, primarily manual testing.
Strong knowledge ofSDLC,Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
Strong experience in writingtest scenarios, test cases, test data, and defect reports.
Hands-on experience withJira, Zephyr, or equivalent tools.
Experience working withweb-based applications.
Strong knowledge offunctional and regression testing.
Good understanding ofAPI testing and tools such as Postman.
Good knowledge ofSQL and database validation.
Experience withend-to-end testing and integration testing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have

Experience working inCI/CD environments.
Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, wireshark
Experience withperformance testing concepts.
Experience in testingREST/SOAP APIs.
Domain experience in areas such asTelecom
Good to have Avaya product experience.
Experience mentoring QA team members or leading testing activities.

Qualifications: BE / B Tech / MCA or equivalent degree
