About the Position:
The Technical Development Operations Specialist centralizes day-to-day operational planning and coordination within the Technical Development (TD) organization. This role turns project priorities and experimental plans into day-to-day lab schedules and resource needs across Process Development, Analytical Development, and MSAT, working closely with Central Lab Operations to keep TD's work running smoothly. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset to a fast-paced biotechnology environment.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduling of TD experimental activities across Process Development, Analytical Development, and MSAT, aligning project priorities against shared lab space, equipment, and other constrained resources
- Partner with scientific teams to translate development plans and project priorities into executable lab schedules
- Forecast material and consumable needs based on planned TD experiments and communicate requirements to Lab Operations to support timely replenishment
- Serve as the point of contact for TD scientists on day-to-day scheduling, resourcing, and material needs, partnering with Lab Operations to resolve conflicts as they arise
- Help ensure TD teams follow established lab operations processes and procedures, reinforcing consistency in day-to-day practices
- Facilitate coordination between TD teams and Lab Operations on shipment timing and priority for time-sensitive samples and materials
- Help ensure TD teams stay informed of equipment downtime or capacity constraints communicated by Lab Operations
- Maintain visibility into upcoming TD activities and priorities to support capacity and resource planning conversations with Lab Operations
- Support TD leaders in collecting and compiling operational metrics to inform planning and process improvements
- Help coordinate onboarding schedules for new TD team members in collaboration with HR, Lab Operations, building staff, and other relevant teams
- Develop and maintain templates, checklists, and tools that improve consistency and efficiency across TD's operations
- Identify and help resolve recurring operational bottlenecks affecting TD's ability to execute planned lab activities
- Other related duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical laboratory operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; experience with project management, inventory, or laboratory management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skillswith the ability to manage multiple activities, priorities, and timelines
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, trackers, schedules, and documentation.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with an interest in identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
- Ability to anticipate needs, follow through on commitments, and escalate potential issues or constraints appropriately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where processes may still be developing.

- Experience supporting laboratory-based scientific or technical organizations
- Ability to anticipate operational constraints and proactively develop solutions
- Experience working in regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment
- Exposure to cell & gene therapy
