Job description

Looking for a customer-focused and proactive Counter Sales Representative to handle customer enquiries, sales of equipment, spare parts, accessories, and related products. The successful candidate will serve customers at the sales counter, understand their requirements, provide suitable product recommendations, prepare quotations, process orders, and ensure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Attend to walk-in, phone, WhatsApp, email, and other customer enquiries professionally and promptly.

• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products, spare parts, accessories, and related solutions.

• Prepare and issue quotations, proforma invoices, sales orders, and other sales documentation.

• Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries to support sales conversion.

• Process customer orders and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely fulfilment.

• Maintain accurate records of sales, customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and payments.

• Check product availability, pricing, and specifications with the relevant teams before confirming orders.

• Coordinate with the warehouse/stores team regarding stock availability, picking, and customer collection or delivery.

• Maintain good relationships with existing customers and support customer retention.

• Identify opportunities for additional sales, repeat orders, and related products.

• Handle customer complaints and escalate technical or commercial issues to the appropriate team.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter and customer service area.

• Support the sales team with daily sales activities, customer follow-ups, and reporting.

• Ensure all sales transactions and documentation comply with company procedures.

• Achieve assigned sales and customer service targets.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of experience in counter sales, retail sales, spare parts sales, technical sales, or customer service.

• Experience in engineering, industrial equipment, automotive, machinery, spare parts, construction, or related industries is an added advantage.

• Basic understanding of technical products and spare parts will be an advantage.

• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
