Team Leader

About Our Opportunity: 

The role of a Team Leader at EMR Group is broad in its requirements and provides a challenging but rewarding working environment. Supporting the Daily Operations in the Shredder.
 

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead by example in promoting a Safety First culture, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Organise, lead, and develop operational teams to achieve production, safety, quality, and performance targets.
• Coordinate plant, equipment, and labour resources to ensure the efficient delivery of daily operational objectives.
• Ensure materials are processed, graded, and stored correctly whilst maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the yard.
• Monitor stock movements and support effective stock control processes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise yard efficiency, productivity, and operational performance.
• Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to support their development and performance.
• Support and encourage ongoing training and development, ensuring team members maintain the skills and qualifications required for their roles.
• Take a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced operational environment.

About You:

• Proven experience leading teams within a production, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
• A strong commitment to Safety First, with the ability to promote and maintain a positive safety culture.
• Strong communicator with the ability to motivate, coach, and influence others.
• Excellent understanding of processes, material movements, and inventory management.
• Self-motivated and committed to continuous professional development and learning.
• Confident in making decisions and resolving operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on approach to supporting day-to-day operations.
