Dipont KCS Chengdu is seeking a passionate and experiencedTeacher of Secondary English (IGCSE and A-Level) to join our school community for animmediate start.

We are interested in hearing from educators with experience teachingEnglish across Middle and Senior School, includingIGCSE English as a Second Language (ESL), Academic English and English language development for secondary learners.

The successful candidate will be confident supporting students with varying levels of English proficiency, developing their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills while preparing them for the linguistic and academic demands of internationally recognized qualifications and further education.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

• Degree inEnglish, English Language, English Literature, Education or a closely related field

• Recognized teaching qualification, license or certification, such asUK QTS/PGCE or an equivalent US, Canadian or Australian teaching credential

• At least3 years of relevant teaching experience, ideally within a secondary school setting

• Experience teachingEnglish language, ESL/EAL or Academic English to secondary-aged students

• Experience with, or willingness to teach,IGCSE English as a Second Language and academically focused English courses for older secondary students

• Familiarity withBritish, international, bilingual, IGCSE and/or A-Level educational environments

• Strong classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment tostudent-centered learning and pastoral care

• Able to meetChinese work-permit requirements and available to commence employment at the earliest opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structuredEnglish lessons across Middle and Senior School, supporting students at different stages of language development

• TeachEnglish language, IGCSE English as a Second Language (ESL) and Academic English, adapting lessons to meet curriculum requirements and students' learning needs

• Develop students' skills inreading, writing, speaking and listening, with an emphasis on academic communication and language proficiency

• Strengthen students'academic writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and critical thinking skills

• Prepare students forIGCSE examinations and the English language demands of further academic study

• Differentiate instruction to support students withvarying levels of English proficiency, building confidence and independence

• Use assessment and constructive feedback tomonitor progress, identify learning needs and support academic achievement

• Contribute to the wideracademic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
